The protective earth conductor is not connected to the metal housing and therefore, in the event of a defect, the full supply voltage may be in contact with the housing which the user could touch thus receiving an electric shock. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European standard EN 60335.
