EU Safety Gate · Report-2014-051

Yamaha · HW125 and HW151

Under a heavy load (e.g. driving through potholes), the lower fork crown may no longer withstand the forces and may break at the shaft. If this occurs, stable front-wheel steering is no longer guaranteed. In the worst case, the rider could lose control of the motorcycle, which could in turn lead to a fall.
