The plastic material of the product has an excessive concentration of bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) (measured value up to 4% by weight), of short-chain chlorinated paraffins (SCCPs) (measured values: up to 3.6 % by weight). This phthalate may harm the health of children, causing possible damage to their reproductive system. SCCPs persist in the environment, are toxic to aquatic organisms at low concentrations and bioaccumulate in wildlife and humans, posing a risk to human health and the environment. Moreover, the metal parts of he product has an excessive concentration of cadmium (measured value up to 0.02 % by weight). Cadmium is harmful to human health because it accumulates in the body, can damage the kidneys and bones and it may cause cancer. The product does not comply with the REACH Regulation nor with the Regulation on persistent organic pollutants (POPs).
