The plastic material of the suction cup contains an excessive concentration of bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) (measured value up to 44 % by weight). This phthalate may harm the health of children, possibly causing damage to their reproductive systems. Moreover, the fibrous stuffing material of the toy is easily accessible due to the weakness of certain seams. A small child may put the filling material in the mouth and choke. The product does not comply with the REACH Regulation nor with the requirements of the Toy Safety Directive and the European standard EN 71-1.
