The rubber of the balloons releases an excessive amount of nitrosatable substances and nitrosamines (measured values up to 8.7 mg/kg and 4.3 mg/kg respectively). Nitrosamines can cause cancer if swallowed or through skin contact. A child could be exposed to them if they touch the product or put it in their mouth. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Toy Safety Directive.
