The outer fabric of the coat contains C9–C14 perfluorocarboxylic acid related compounds (PFCAs) (measured value: 1394 µg/kg). These substances bio-accumulate in wildlife and humans, posing a risk to human health and the environment. Moreover, the product has an excessive quantity of perfluorooctanoic-acid-related compounds (PFOAs) (measured value: 1210 µg/kg)). PFOAs are carcinogenic and pose a risk to the environment. The product does not meet the requirements of the REACH Regulation nor of the Persistent Organic Pollutants (POP) Regulation
