A software error in the SSAM module (central control unit) may cause various lighting systems and the windscreen wipers to stop working. If the lights fail at night or the wipers fail during rain or on wet roads, the driver’s visibility could be severely reduced, potentially making it impossible to stay safely on the road. Additionally, a stationary vehicle might not be seen by following traffic. These situations increase the risk of accidents, including vehicles veering off the road or being hit from behind. The product does not comply with the Regulation on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles.
