The plastic material of the cable has an excessive concentration of bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) (measured value up to 2% by weight). Moreover, the solders in the product have excessive concentrations of lead and cadmium (measured values up to 62.3% and 0.06% by weight, respectively). DEHP poses a risk to human health and the environment. Lead poses a risk to the environment, and cadmium bio-accumulates and poses a risk to the environment. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Directive on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS 2 Directive).
