The solders in the product have an excessive concentration of lead (measured value up to 68,8 % by weight). Moreover, the plastic cover of the battery compartment has an excessive concentration of polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE) and decaBDE (measured values up to 0.,79 % and 0.72% by weight, respectively). Lead poses a risk to the environment. PBDE might cause neurodevelopmental behavioural defects and is very persistent and bio-accumulative, posing a risk for the environment and human health.
