Terms of use
1. Purpose
RecallLookup is a free information tool providing product-recall orientation based on identified official authority sources. It does not replace binding instructions, professional assessment or the responsible authority, manufacturer, operator, airline or veterinarian.
2. No completeness or safety guarantee
We aim to provide careful, current and understandable information, but cannot guarantee completeness, availability or an error-free result. A result depends on identifiers, model, batch, market, publication status and the authority record. A missing or non-exact match is not confirmation that a product is safe or unaffected. A missing result is not confirmation that an item, device, journey or exposure is safe.
3. User responsibilities
Users must compare the exact product, model, batch and validated identifier with the original authority notice and follow the official measure, retailer and manufacturer instructions.
4. Availability and changes
There is no entitlement to particular coverage, update frequency or permanent availability. Content may be corrected, restricted or removed where sources are unclear, safety is affected or legal requirements change.
5. Liability
Liability is unlimited where required by law, including intent, gross negligence and culpable injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence involving an essential contractual duty, liability is limited to typical foreseeable loss. Other liability is excluded to the extent legally permitted; mandatory statutory liability remains unaffected.
6. External links and rights
External providers are responsible for their content. Links are checked when included, but permanent monitoring without a reason is not feasible. Our design, texts and software are protected. Authority, manufacturer and trade-mark names are used only for factual identification.
7. Applicable law
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections at their habitual residence.
