The product has an excessive concentration of cadmium (measured value: 87% by weight) and the rate of nickel release is too high (1.6 μg/cm³/week). Cadmium is harmful to human health because it accumulates in the body, can damage the kidneys and bones and it may cause cancer. Nickel is a strong sensitiser and causes allergic reactions if present in articles that come into direct and prolonged contact with the skin. The product does not comply with the REACH Regulation.
